My story began while stationed in Hawthorne, Nevada and Walker Lake as a backdrop. I started fishing then and continued at the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. Stanley Canyon came to be in 2018 and I started building spin rods with the Boys and Girls Club in Tucson. I then specialized in fly rods in 2019 but continue to build special requests like these.
I recently finished three vintage rods for a client in South Carolina. They featured solid fiberglass rod blanks with vintage Shakespeare reel seats, agate butt guide, boat guides and boat tip top.
The guides were wrapped with Fuji nylon NCP neon green with Fuji orange trim guides.
