My story began while stationed in Hawthorne, Nevada and Walker Lake as a backdrop. I started fishing then and continued at the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. Stanley Canyon came to be in 2018 and I started building spin rods with the Boys and Girls Club in Tucson. I then specialized in fly rods in 2019 but continue to build special requests like these.

​I recently finished three vintage rods for a client in South Carolina.  They featured solid fiberglass rod blanks with vintage Shakespeare reel seats, agate butt guide, boat guides and boat tip top.​The guides were wrapped with Fuji nylon ncp neon green with Fuji orange trim guides.
